4 Ways to Use Argan Oil On Your Face
I do everything I can to keep chemicals out of my personal care items, so we use a lot of argan oil in our house. Today, I thought I would share my 4 favorite DIY Recipes for incorporating argan oil into our facial products. These recipes are so simple you only need a few ingredients for each. I especially love that you can customize them to suite your skin types.
- 1 1/2 oz argan oil
- 10 drops essential oil
Customize it to your skin type by choosing from the list of recommended essential oils below.
- 2 tablespoons Argan oil
- 1/4 cup sweet almond oil
- 20 drops essential oil
Awesome recipe to use on your bikini area to avoid those ugly red bumps! Even though this one doesn’t need essential oils, I love adding a drop or two of Frankincense to it.
Eye Makeup Remover
- 2 Tablespoons of organic argan oil
- 2 Tablespoons vitamin E oil
- 3 Tablespoons of alcohol free witch hazel
- 1/2 Cups purified water
Gentle Facial Scrub
- 1 tbsp Argan Oil
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1/2 cup Turbinado Sugar (Raw Sugar)
- 15 drop of Essential Oil
A note about using argan oil on your face
Oil does NOT clog your pores, it actually helps to keep your skin in balance. Most cleansers are harsh and strips your skin of its oils, which causes your skin to produce more oils, which results in an overproduction of oil that then clogs your pores! Crazy, isn’t it?
A note about storing your customized facial products
Just chose an appropriate size jar that has been cleaned and sterilized. I like to use small mason jars. I sterilize them by pre-washing with soap and hot water, and then put then through the heated cycle of my dishwasher. The recipes should be stored at room temperature

- Lavender is good for any skin type
- Be sure to use HIGH QUALITY essential oils. They may be expensive, but a small bottle will last longer because you need less. I personally use doTerra
- Some essential oils are much stronger in scent than others, so adjust the amount of drops accordingly
